Lies Girls Believe Book Study

Join us for a 10-week book study of Lies Girls Believe by Dannah Gresh, created especially for pre-teen girls and their mothers. This study is designed to open up honest conversations, strengthen relationships and help girls replace harmful lies with truth’s that God gives us.

Dates: This Book Study runs every Sunday beginning May 31st, and continue weekly through August 2nd.

Note: This study will be a blend of in-person connection and flexible online participation. We’ll gather face-to-face on May 31st, June 28th, and August 2nd— where we will have deeper discussions, share experiences, community building, and of course creative fun! For the remaining weeks, facilitators will guide conversations, reflections, and activities through a private Facebook group, allowing you to participate from home and on your own time.

Time and Place: In-person meet ups will be held at the Healing Hands Christian Counseling office from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.

Important Information:

• Ages - 9 to 12 (Pre-Teens), while there may be wiggle room for older girls, we want to stay true to the “pre-teen” age group.

• Do I have to be my Pre-teen’s Mom?

  • No, we welcome grandmothers, aunts or other female guardians.

This study is geared to create an opportunity for mothers and daughters to grow together in God, build trust, and navigate important topics in a supportive environment. Each week will offer practical insights, discussion prompts, and encouragement to help girls develop confidence, discernment, and a strong sense of identity.

Please note that this book will navigate some challenging topics like using social media, self-harm, puberty and the female body, and embracing God’s design for marriage, motherhood, and sexual identity. It is also important to understand that at Healing Hands Christian Counseling, we take a bible based approach on these topics.
